RUTHERFORDTON — The Partnership For Children of the Foothills is hosting a free interactive reading event at Kidsenses Children’s Interactive Museum on Friday, Dec. 3, 3-5 p.m.

“It is always an honor to collaborate with Partnership for Children of the Foothills and bring the joy of reading to families in our community,” said Mandi Williams, deputy director of Kidsenses Children’s Interactive Museum. “Nothing brings families together quite like a playdate at Kidsenses or snuggling up with a good book.”

Partnership Outreach Coordinator Desiree Magnant will read snowy day-themed stories and offer activities and crafts at three stations between 3-5 p.m. Participants who sign in will also receive a free gift bag filled with activities to take home.

In addition, the Partnership will have an information table featuring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which it administers in McDowell, Polk and Rutherford counties. Parents may enroll their child, birth to age 5, in the program to receive a free monthly, age-appropriate book from the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Kidsenses is located at 172 N. Main Street, Rutherfordton.
