Dinner: The Knights of Columbus of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1024 W. Main Street is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner and bake sale, from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Large plate, $5; small plate, $3. Dinner includes salad, drink, dessert.
Singing: Cedar Grove Fellowship Church, 160 Toney Road, Bostic, will host a gospel singing beginning at 6 p.m., featuring “Servants’ Voices,” from Hickory.
History Program: The Mary B. Mullen Bible Camp, 1900 Freemantown Road, Lake Lure will host a Black Church History Program Oct. 16, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Oct. 17, 2-5 p.m. Rev. Jerrett Fite will open the exhibition Oct. 16 at 11 a.m., and is open to the public as a drop-in. On Oct. 17, community elders will speak about Black church history beginning at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 20
Meal: Spindale United Methodist Church will host its monthly Drive Through Community Meal, starting at 5 p.m. Drive through to pick up your meal. The meal is free, but donations are accepted.
Sunday, Oct. 24
Time Capsule: The First Presbyterian Church of Forest City, 438 West Main Street will open a time capsule that was buried Sept., 1995. Worship begins at 11 a.m., followed by digging up the capsule, followed by a light lunch.
Sunday, Oct. 31
Trunk-or-Treat: The West Point Baptist Church, 1160 Union Road, Rutherfordton will host a drive-thru, COVID-safe trunk or treat, from 5-7 p.m. in the church parking lot. For more information, call the church office: 828-287-0165.
Tick-or-Treat: Spindale United Methodist Church will host Trick or Treat starting at 6 p.m. This year’s event will be “drive through.”
Saturday, Nov. 13
Auction: Big Springs Baptist Church, 534 Big Springs Church Road, Ellenboro, will have a Harvest Sale. Breakfast starts at 8 a.m. featuring country ham, sausage, liver mush and gravy biscuits. Auction starts at 9 a.m. Featured items include baked and canned goods, handmade items and more.
