BOSTIC — A Bostic man arrested on various charges is also a person of interest in a missing South Carolina woman.
Rutherford County sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Glen Printz, 58, on Sept. 9 on outstanding warrants related to an auto theft in Greenville County, South Carolina. During a search of his residence, deputies found various firearms. Some of the firearms had altered serial numbers, Sheriff Chris Francis said.
Printz was charged on the outstanding warrants as well as possession of firearm by a felon, and for the altered serial numbers.
He was jailed under $300,000 secured bond for the various charges and currently sits in the Rutherford County jail.
The grand larceny charge is related to the stolen car that belonged to the missing woman. The car was not found at Printz’s residence, Francis said.
In 1997, Printz was convicted for kidnapping in Michigan.
Francis said Printz is a person of interest in the missing woman from Greenville County, South Carolina.
Greenville County authorities confirmed the grand theft charges against Printz, but stopped short of identifying the missing woman as the owner of the stolen car.
