FOREST CITY — It’s that time of year again when business patrons choose The Best of Rutherford County.
Beginning Thursday (Dec. 10), ballots for the 2020 Best of Rutherford County will be running in The Daily Courier. The ballots will run in subsequent editions through Dec. 23.
Participants are asked to complete the ballots and return to the Courier by mail, 601 Oak Street, Forest City, 28043, or drop off at the newspaper’s office at the dropbox by the front door. Ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on Dec. 23. Those mailed must be postmarked by Dec. 20 so they’ll arrive on time.
There are 75 categories for consideration and at least half, or 50%, of the ballots must be completed before they are allowed to be considered. Original ballots must be used (no copies) with one ballot per person.
Businesses to be voted on must be located within Rutherford County. Use first and last names when applicable and be sure to identify which business and their respective locations so the appropriate winners are correctly awarded.
Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Once ballots are tabulated, there will be a first-place winner and a runner-up within each category. Both are given certificates to display all year at their respective business.
The winners of the contest will be published in the Jan. 30 edition of the Courier.
