The East Rutherford Lady Cavaliers avenged two regular-season losses to R-S Central by downing the Lady Hilltoppers in the SMAC Tournament semifinals Thursday night.

Rachel Camp led the Cavaliers with 45 points en route to the 74-48 victory.

East owned a 39-23 advantage at halftime and the lead grew from there. The Cavalier advantage grew to 19 at the end of the third and continued to grow throughout the fourth.

"We missed some easy shots but they let one slip away at our place and seemed determined not to let it happen again," Central head coach Darius Fuller said after the loss. "What more can you say after you get beat by 26 points?"

Now the Hilltoppers shift their focus to the state playoffs set for next week.

"We got to forget about this one and get ready for Monday," Fuller said.

East head coach Larry Ross and his Cavaliers have a quick turn-around and face the winner of Patton/Freedom tonight in the championship game. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at Shelby High.
