TJCA bolted to an 8-2 lead by going inside. Ellen Kirkpatrick scored on a pair of put-backs and Victoria Bennett also garnered an offensive rebound and layup in the spurt.

Madi Coffing then went on a personal 4-0 run for the Pride but TJCA turned to the speed of Anna Dedmon who beat her defender down the floor for easy layups or she drew contact.

As a result, the Gryphons had grabbed a 14-8 lead after the first quarter.

Pine Lake Prep opened the second quarter on an 8-2 run to tie the contest at 16-16 on a Cailynn Burby three.
