Vaillancourt, D'Alton exchange vows

Shannon Lynn Vaillancourt and James Berkeley D'Alton, both of Mount Pleasant, SC, exchanged wedding vows in a 5:30 p.m. ceremony held at the Gibbs Museum of Art in Charleston, SC, on Saturday, October 20, 2012. The Reverend Mary E. Rodgers officiated.
Shannon is the daughter of Vicki Tarlton Held of Brevard and Gerry Vaillancourt of New Orleans, LA. Berkeley is the son of The Honorable James Frederick D'Alton, Jr., of Petersburg, VA and Kisha Pfaff of Hilton Head, SC
Dr. Robert Pearce Turner provided music. Shannon's father presented her in marriage and Berkeley's father served as best man. Kelly Marie Vaillancourt, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Thirteen bridesmaids and thirteen groomsmen, all friends and family of the bride and groom, completed the wedding party.
A reception was held in the courtyard of the Gibbs Museum of the Arts.
Shannon is the granddaughter of the late Vernon and Lovada Tarlton of Forest City and is the niece of Dennis and Tina Tarlton of Forest City. She is a graduate of UNC - Chapel Hill with a master's degree in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. Shannon is a pediatric nurse practitioner at the Medical University  of South Carolina Children's Hospital. 
Berkeley received a degree in accounting and a master's degree in accounting from UNC - Chapel Hill and is an auditor for Kap Stone Paper and Packaging in Charleston, SC.
After a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple will reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
