Hendrix, Ballard wed

RUTHERFORD COUNTY —
Jessica Marie Hendrix and Christopher David Ballard were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in a 6 p.m. ceremony held at The Rutherfordton Clubhouse. The Rev. Don Crawford officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Teresa Owens of Forest City and James Hendrix of Hot Springs, Ark. The bridegroom is the son of Stephany Alexander and Philip Atchley, both of Forest City.
The bride was escorted to the altar and presented in marriage by her mother. She wore a strapless A-line gown with lace appliques and carried a bouquet made of vintage brooches.
The bride's long-time friend, Jillian Hasty, served as maid of honor. She wore a knee-length navy dress with silver sandals and carried a bouquet of fabric flowers.
Bridesmaids, who wore dresses in navy, were the bride's sister, Alleya Curtis of Forest City; Michele Brown of Rutherfordton; Christina Driver of Bostic; the bridegroom's cousin, Morgan Keeter of Forest City; and the bridegroom's sister, Kali Alexander of Forest City.
Flower girls were Madelyn and Ella Hasty of Forest City, and honorary flower girl was Erica Bailey.
The bridegroom chose his long-time friend, Shane Davis of Ellenboro, as best man.
Groomsmen were the bridegroom's father; the bridegroom's cousins, Kevin Atchley and Russell Atchley, both of Shelby, and Kyle Dorius of Anderson, S.C.; and Nathan Adair of Rutherfordton.
Wedding coordinators were Lindsay Fender of Gastonia and Allison Flynn of Forest City.
A reception immediately followed the ceremony at The Rutherfordton Clubhouse. Tables were decorated with vintage books and paper hearts punched from book pages. Mixed flowers were arranged in milk glass vases and Mason jars held floating candles.
The bride is employed at Clean Breeze in Rutherfordton. The bridegroom is employed at Kimbrells in Forest City.
Following a wedding trip, the couple make their home in Forest City.
