Amos-Clark vows exchanged

Bethany La’Rae Amos and Jeffrey Charles Clark were married last fall in a wedding ceremony at the home of the couple, Fairwinds Farm near Rutherfordton. The barn was the backdrop for the afternoon wedding.

Rev. Greg Thornton of Florida officiated at the ceremony and Michael Morgan, guitarist of Rutherfordton, presented wedding music.

The bride is the daughter of Troy and Dawn Amos of Rutherfordton and the groom is the son of Jeff and Karen Clark of Rutherfordton.

The matron of honor was Carla LuAnn Chapman of Bostic, sister of the bride. Attending as bridesmaids were Amanda Rice and McKenzie Rice of Green Creek, cousins of the Josie Taylor of Candler, cousin of the groom and Katie Lewis, friend of the bride of Forest City. 

Jeff Clark attended as best man. 

Groomsmen were Jason Clark of Rutherfordton, brother of the groom; Cheyenne Macintosh of Fairview, Andrew Murray of Wilmington, friends of the groom; and Isaiah Trull of Candler, cousin of the groom. 

Kyle Blanton of Rutherfordton and Madison Cudd of Ellenboro, cousins of the bride were flower girls.

Ringbearers were also cousins of the bride, Crayden Blanton of Rutherfordton and Noah Cudd of Ellenboro.

Special guests who carried the banner and bride’s train were Madyon Pennington and Chloe Jones of Forest City, Maddie Conner of Rutherfordton, Caroline Hall of Ellenboro, Cora Lee of Shelby, and Alexia Rodriguez of Shelby.

A reception was held at the Fairwinds Farm Barm.

The bride is the granddaughter of Hoyle and Nell Blanton and the late Carl and Annie Lou Amos, all of Rutherfordton.

She is a graduate of Chase High School and Western Piedmont Community College. She is pursuing her elementary education degree through Appalachian State University. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Thomas Jefferson Classical Grammar.

The groom is a graduate of Chase High School and Isothermal Community College. He is employed at Clark’s Automotive in Forest City.

He is the grandson of George and Peggy Ledford of Chandler and the late Bud Clark of Rutherfordton and the late Roberta Boydston Clark of Rutherfordton.

The couple honeymooned in The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

They live at Fairwinds Farm.
