The Trinity Christian School (TCS) girls middle school basketball team recently completed a dream season. The team finished undefeated overall winning its second-straight Blue Ridge Mountain Conference regular season title. They went on to win the tournament title as well.

The TCS program is made up of fifth through eighth graders. The girls played an 11-game schedule this season competing with teams from Lake Lure Classical Academy, Brevard Academy, Mountain Community School and New Dimension School.

“Our girls set a goal the first day of practice to win the regular season and tournament titles this year, and they worked very hard to achieve this goal I am so happy for them,” head coach Ron Wilkins said.

The legacy The TCS girls program is slowly building an impressive legacy with back-to-back regular season conference titles, a second-place finish in the 2013 tournament and winning the 2014 tournament. The team has compiled a 37-15 record since 2009.

“We measure success through hard work, effort and dedication to team work,” Wilkins said. “Our program expects and demands Christ-like attitudes on and off the court from our players. Furthermore we expect our athletes to excel in the classroom.”

TCS has a successful middle school boys program as well winning 17 games in 2012 and finishing third in the conference the past two seasons.

“If you are looking for a school with an athletic program that gives all kids a chance to learn, develop and play come check us out,” Wilkins said.
