State title swims for local high school swimmers wrapped up last week, but for younger swimmers the season lives on.

Jenna Bridges, a 10-year old swimmer from Forest City and a member of the Rutherford County Swim Team, is set to compete in the North Carolina 14-and-under State Championships this weekend in Greensboro.

Bridges qualified to swim in a staggering seven events. She will enter the pool for the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard individual medley, 100-yard butterfly, 50-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle. Bridges will swim in events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Bridges is the youngest of three daughters of Jeff and Crystal Bridges of Forest City.
