Owls Announce 2014 Schedule

The Forest City Owls have announced the release of their 2014 schedule. The 58-game schedule is highlighted by three exhibitions and three fireworks shows.

The Owls home opener is Tuesday, May 27 against the Columbia Blowfish, followed by the first fireworks game of the year on Friday, May 30 against the Florence Redwolves.

The Owls will host their annual Girl Scout/Sleepover night on May 30 and Boy Scout/Sleepover night on Friday, June 6.

The annual Breast Cancer Awareness “Pink Out” night is set for Saturday, June 14.

Salute the Troops Night, giving recognition to all those who currently serve and have served is scheduled for Saturday, July 19.

The huge Independence Day Fireworks extravaganza is set for July 5 while the final fireworks game of the season will be Saturday, Aug. 2 which is also the fourth annual Hoot and Annie Hoe Down night.

The Owls will host exhibition games on Monday, June 16 against the Mooresville Spinners, Monday, June 23 against the Catawba Valley Stars and Monday, June 30 against the Kernersville Bulldogs of the Carolina/Virginia League.

The schedule includes eight of the popular “Dollar Mondays” where special food items are a dollar including hot dogs, french fries , candy, popcorn and beer and seven famous “J’s Salvage $2 Tuesdays” as general admission tickets are just $2 each with $2 draft beer.

“With the tremendous support from this community, our goal was to bring as many home dates as possible to McNair Field,” said Managing Partner Jesse Cole. “With 12 huge weekend games and our heavy load of our Dollar Mondays & J’s Salvage $2 Tuesdays and Thirsty Thursdays, we couldn’t be more excited.”

In 2014 the Owls will start all home games at 7:30 p.m.

Box seat season tickets are limited for the 2014 season while a limited number of General Admission Season tickets and “Fireworks Packages” are available for the 2014 season.
