East Rutherford basketball remained undefeated Friday night with a 63-50 win on the road over Varitas Christian Academy.

Playing without two starters, the Cavs (5-0) overcame a 25-23 halftime deficit to claim the victory.

"We had some great minutes of the bench tonight," head coach Brad Levine said. "C.J. Norman, Kaleb McEntyre and Shakari Jackson gave great minutes and got a lot of experience."

Roddric Ross led East with 14 points and eight rebounds while Donald Wilkins had 14 points and Travis Waldroup-Rodriguez had 13.

"Roddric was really the star of the show tonight," Levine said. "He had two big threes in the fourth quarter that put the game out of reach."

East is ccheduled to travel to Hunter Huss on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. in Gastonia.
