Cavaliers down Chase

East Rutherford tennis took advantage of a depleted Chase Trojans team Tuesday afternoon at Callison Recreation Center and walked away with a 6-3 win.
Chase claimed the top-seeded matches with wins from Mason Womack and Jacob Wilson, but East took the next four singles matches earning wins from Landon Holtzclaw, Tyree Lindsay, Ryan Lynch and a forfeit win for Quad Kelly.
The doubles team of Womack/Wilson earned Chase’s final win of the afternoon over the Cavaliers duo of Mason Jolley/Jordan Bray (8-3), but the East Rutherford combos of Lindsay/Lynch and Holtsclaw/Kelly iced the 6-3 overall win for the Cavaliers.
East is back in action Thursday at R-S Central while Chase travels to Patton. matches for both teams are set to start at 4 p.m.
