RUTHERFORD COUNTY —
SPINDALE — Adriana Alexis McCluney, age 2, died Saturday, July 6, 2013. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Thompson's Mortuary and Chapel, Inc. in Forest City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Thompson's Mortuary and Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Burch Nathan Lynch
Mr. Burch Nathan Lynch, age 99, of North Church Street, Forest City, NC., went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2013, while being cared for at the Hospice House.
A native of Rutherford County, he was retired from Green Memorial after 37 years of service. Mr. Lynch also served in World War II with the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Lynch.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Nora B. Hardy of Upper Marlboro, MD; granddaughter, Lynette Jones of Charlotte, NC; great granddaughter, Akilah Jones of Charlotte, NC; brother, Alfred L. Lynch of Ellenboro, NC; three sisters, Eunice Brooks of Ellenboro, NC, Gladys Whiteside of Rutherfordton, NC, Laura Logan of Lake Lure, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and frfends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Ulysses
D. Miller Funeral Service, LLC, 485 Poors Ford Road, Rutherfordton, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Lynch will be laid to rest with his family in the Cemetery of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 1183 Bills Creek Road, Lake Lure, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC. 8043.

Thomas Ray Johnson “The Mayor”, 70, of Nebo, died July 10, 2013, at his home.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late James Gilmer and Faye Pace. He was a truck driver and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Martha Sansing Johnson of the home; sons, Jim Johnson of Spruce Pine and Chris Johnson of Newton; step children, Ronnie Cline, Shane Cline and Christal Whitworth of Nebo; 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Bradley of Forest City and Barbara Harris of Old Fort; brothers, Jont Gilmer of Weaverville and Roy Johnson of Jupiter, FL.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m., Saturday, July 13, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Painter and Rev. Rodney Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
