Tony Littlejohn

RUTHERFORDTON— Tony Duke Littlejohn age 67 of Atlanta, Ga. formerly of Gaffney, SC and Rutherfordton, NC died Thursday at Emory University Hospital.

Tony was a native of Rutherford County, the son of the late Wallace and Helen Duke Littlejohn. He was a former member of the National Guard, a graduate of RS Central High School, and Wofford College. Tony was a retired teacher at East/Ewing Jr. High where he coached football and basketball.

Services will be private.

Susan Kathleen Frazier Parris 

FOREST CITY— Susan Kathleen Frazier Parris, age 58, of Forest City joined the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Letha Conner Frazier. Susan was a dedicated employee of Rutherford Regional Medical Center for 17 years and leaves behind many friends and co-workers. She adored animals and shared a love of horses with her daughter.

Susan is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Hodge of Forest City; one grandson, Caden Hodge of Forest City; one sister, Diane Laughter of Rutherfordton; four brothers, Pete Frazier of Rutherfordton, Berl Frazier of Marion, Eddie Frazier of Rutherfordton and Earl Frazier of Spartanburg, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday, November 23, 2013 at McMahan's Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm in McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel.

Clyde (L.C.) Robbins

CHESNEE, SC — Clyde Hugh Robbins, III, 44, of 227 Burton Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his residence.

Born in Shelby, NC, he was the husband of Sonja Robbins, was the son of Clyde Hugh Robbins, Jr. of Gaffney and Roberta Williams Hutchings of McCormick, and was the stepson of Judy Lee Robbins and Thomas Major Hutchings.

Mr. Robbins was a graduate of Albemarle High School and was employed by BMW. He was a former Little League coach in the Chesnee area for many years, was a U. S. Air Force and U. S. Air National Guard veteran, and was a member of New Harvest Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife, parents and step-parents are two sons, Joshua Allen Robbins of the home and Sgt. Michael Scott Rockett and wife, Jaycie, of Camp Lejeune; two brothers, Mitchell Lee Chapman of Gaffney and Dustin Andrew Chapman and wife, Jill, of Boiling Springs, SC; three sisters, Angela Robbins Cannon and husband, Keith, of Kennesaw, GA, Tracy Chapman Bright and husband, Carter, of Gainesville, FL, and Karen Squiggins and husband, Tim, of Clover; maternal grandmother, Patty Williams of Orlando, FL.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, 2013 at New Harvest Church of God. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the Church with Rev. Robert Wells officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Forest City, NC.

SPINDALE— Jessie Owens Lynch, 97, died Sunday, November 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church in Spindale. The body will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. for viewing. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Pruitt Funeral Home is serving the Lynch family.
