Roy Dale Ingle
Roy Dale Ingle, 61, of Hog Pen Branch Road, Henrietta, died on Monday, February 24, 2014 at his residence. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on May 14, 1952, a son of the late Boyce Lee and Geneva McKinney Ingle. He was retired from the Construction Industry and a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Cortney Ingle; one brother, Jimmy Ingle; one sister, Judy Ingle. He is survived by his son, Brandon Ingle and wife Teresa of Forest City; one daughter, Candy Ingle of Ellenboro; three brothers, Jerry Ingle of Forest City and Ronnie and Ricky Ingle, both of Henrietta; one sister, Jeanette Arrowood of Henrietta; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Ingle.
At Roy’s request, no formal services will be held.

Rufus Franklin Johnson
Rufus Franklin Johnson of Mountainview Street was born January 19, 1956 and departed for eternal glory on February 23, 2014 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
Rufus was preceded in death by his father Leroy Johnson, mother Mae Pearl Johnson and brother Jimmy Johnson. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Debbie of 39 years, one daughter Elizabeth Sowell (Anthony), three sons Christopher Johnson (Dawn), Jason and Jordon Johnson, three grandchildren Eriona, J’Myus and Braelin , three brothers James, Hoyle and Alfred, two sisters, Cora Washington and Mary Allen, one Aunt Carrie Free, five sister-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A celebration of life will be held 2:30 PM Thursday February 27, 2014 at New Bethel AME Zion Church in Forest City, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
Lester D. "Les" Roark
Lester D. "Les" Roark, age 89, former Shelby mayor and city council member, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Shelby Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at his home. Burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery. Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby is serving the family.
