Officers join forces
State and local law enforcement combined forces to conduct a joint operation on Thursday, May 16, in Rutherford and Polk counties.
The operation involved the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Customs.
According to Polk County Sheriff Donald Hill, the operation focused on targeting criminal activity in both counties, resulting in multiple charges and arrests.
Sheriff reports detailed arrests including a police issued stolen firearm arrest, a concealed weapon arrest, multiple felony drug arrests and one wanted person arrest.
Law enforcement also issued 12 drug citations, including charges for possession of marijuana and cocaine.
Additional charges included one speeding violation, one no operator’s license charge, four seatbelt violations and four open container charges.
Law enforcement arrested the following individuals during the operation: James Elbert Price of Forest City, charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Paul Robinson of Columbia, S.C., charged with felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances and simple possession of marijuana; Mandy Greir of Charlotte, charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Everette J. Davis of Parkton, charged with possession of a stolen firearm from a police agency and simple possession of marijuana.
