County Republicans plan convention

The Rutherford County Republican Party will hold its annual convention Saturday, March 3 at the Rutherfordton Club House (241 Club House Drive).

North Carolina Lt. Gov. Dan Forest will serve as the keynote speaker at the event.

The convention will be voting for 12 positions on the County Executive Committee for the next two years, as well as electing delegates from each precinct to both the district convention and the state convention, and approving changes to the Plan of Organization.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with the convention starting at 9 a.m., and should end around 12 p.m. Coffee, juice and donuts will be provided.

All registered Republicans are invited to attend.
