Drug bust at marijuana growing operation
On Thursday, Rutherford County Sheriff Deputy Joey Brandle, Assistant Fire Marshall Daniel Elliott and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Narcotic Unit secured a search warrant for 185 Sidney Drive in Forest City, leading to the discovery of an indoor marijuana growing operation.
Investigators had received information that the persons living at the residence were possibly growing marijuana.
Deputies executed the search warrant and seized 17 marijuana plants weighing 5.23 pounds.
During the search deputies also found one rifle and two handguns.
Emily Marie Rinker, age 26, was arrested and charged with maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rinker received a $45,000 secured bond for her charges.
David Paul Jenson, age 56, was also arrested and charged with maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts possession of a firearm by a felon.
Jenson received a $90,000 secured bond for his charges.
