Library story times begin Tuesday

The Rutherford County Libraries’ Story Times will begin again the week on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Jeannie Smith, children’s librarian, will be leading the educational sessions each week in Spindale at the main library on Callahan-Koon Rd. at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, 11 a.m. on Wednesdays in Henrietta at the Haynes Branch, and 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays in Lake Lure at the Mountains Branch.

Preschool story times are designed for children ages 2-5 and younger home-schoolers, and consists of theatrical reading of stories, games, activities, songs, crafts, puppetry and snacks They are free and open to the public as a service of Rutherford County to its citizens.

The municipal libraries will also be holding Story Times:

Spindale Library — Tuesdays at 10:00 starting Oct. 1; Mooneyham Library in Forest City — Thursdays at 10:30 starting Sept. 5; and Norris Library in Rutherfordton — Thursdays at 10:30 starting Oct. 3.
