Rutherford County through the eyes of visitors
Susan Dosier, the co-founder of DK Communications Group and former food editor at Southern Living Magazine, will be the featured speaker Tuesday. Nov. 12 at the second annual Tourism Development Authority Alliance meeting at the Foundation, Isothermal Community College.
Dosier will be the luncheon speaker between 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. She will speak on "Rutherford County Through Visitors Eyes."
The premiere of TDA's new "Visitors' Instant Movie" will be shown during the lunch hour.
The annual TDA reported will also be presented during the time.
Dosier is best known for her media relations expertise and national media contacts, said but she also works with clients to build websites, drive traffic to the websites, said Michelle Yelton of the McConnell Group.
Dosier spent 18 years as a journalist with Southern Living and is a published cookbook author and speaker.
The event begins at 11 a.m. with vendor visits and networking with TDA's Stakeholder Service Providers.
Guests will have an opportunity visit the booths of TDA staff and contractors to learn more and to seek advice on the county's tourism's efforts in areas of marketing, advertising, public relations, wayfinding, visitor information and asset development.
Tourism developments across Rutherford County, TDA's marketing campaign, volunteer opportunities and the county's tourism statistics compared to the other counties in the state, will also be topics of discussion.
