Delbert McClinton concert cancelled
(March 6, 2013) – The concert featuring Texas bluesman Delbert McClinton – formerly scheduled for Saturday, March 9 – has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 8, due to Mr. McClinton’s hospitalization for a respiratory infection.
A representative for the artist informed Russell Wicker, director of The Foundation Performing Arts Center in Spindale, of the cancellation on Tuesday afternoon.
“Delbert’s agent called late in the day, and I knew it wasn’t good when he started out by saying he was having a bad day. Next thing I know, I’m having a bad day, too,” says Wicker. “We immediately found the next Saturday that both the facility and Delbert were available, and then proceeded to start informing ticket holders of the change.”
Tickets for the March 9 show will be honored at the June 8 show. Patrons may also receive a refund. Refunds will be available until May 8, one month from the date of the new show. At that time, tickets sales will resume for the rescheduled performance on June 8. For more information, patrons can drop by or call The Foundation Box Office Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 286-9990.
