The Isothermal Community College (ICC) campus just got a little bigger.

On Thursday, the ICC Board of Trustees unanimously accepted 17.2 acres of property donated by the Isothermal Community College Foundation.

The property is located behind The Foundation parking lot.

The college foundation purchased the property from the Father’s Vineyard Church, located on Oakland Road for $399,000.

There is a home on the property and the lot provides approximately 100 feet of frontage along Oakland Road.

Mike Gavin, director of marketing and community relations for Isothermal, said that there are no immediate plans for the property.

“It is a significant piece of property that will allow us flexibility in planning for future growth,” Gavin said. “We are very appreciative our foundation saw the potential value of this property in the long term.”

In other business, trustees:

• unanimously approved transferring $576,000 from the college’s equipment fund to the construction improvement fund. The money will be allocated for roof repair along with heating and air conditioning improvements at the library and business science building on campus;

• approved a bylaw amendment regarding trustee recognition. The amendment discusses honoring of those selected as trustee emeritus.
