RCSD believes body found that of missing woman
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Department believes it has located the body of a Rutherford County woman who has been missing since the weekend.
According to a report, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday officers with the Forensic Division of the Rutherford County Sheriff's department located a body, which appears to be that of Deborah Russell Lovelace, who had been reported missing since Jan. 7.
The body was located in a wooded area near Flat Rock Road in the Chase community.
The report also stated that an autopsy will be performed by the North Carolina State Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death and exact identity.
Lovelace's husband, Ryan Heath Lovelace, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Jan. 8.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
