Scouts request lease for town tractor

Adam Patterson and Buddy Lawing from the Boy Scouts of America made a formal request to Ruth Commissioners Monday night regarding leasing the town's tractor, that is not used by the town.

The scouts are asking to lease the tractor to maintain their camp property.

The board will receive advice from their lawyer, John Crotts, regarding a possible contract and scout leaders will also receive legal counsel.

Mayor Don Baynard reported resident Forest Koone will assist the town with general maintenance during the winter months.

Commissioner Mike Ellenburg was appointed to another three year term on the board of directors for Isothermal Planning and Development Commission.

Action was also made to upgrade the town's software system.

Town Clerk Amy Goode-Hanaway told council the audit reports have been completed and received and will reviewed at the the March meeting.
