Marijuana growing uncovered in Lake Lure home

Christopher Lucien Prelle, 31, of Londonberry Lane in Lake Lure, was arrested after officers discovered operations set up for the distribution of marijuana inside his home.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at approximately 6 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted on Island Creek Road at Londonberry Drive by Lake Lure Police Corporal Cory Hill, Sergeant Chris Shuford and Patrol Officers Zach Walker and Andy Greenway.

Prelle was pulled over at the vehicle stop, which subsequently led to a search of his vehicle and home by officers.

According to the police report, upon locating methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and operations for the distribution of marijuana, Prelle was taken into custody.

He was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling or place for a controlled substance and driving while license revoked.

Prelle was placed in the custody of the Rutherford County Detention Facility on a $33,500 secured bond.
