Hamm named to West Point Dean's list

Cadet Kendall Hamm, son of Steve and Maggie Hamm of Conover and grandson of Kenneth and Polly Gettys of Hollis and Ken and Judy Hamm of Durham, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall Semester – August through December at the U.S. Military Academy.

To earn this distinction, a cadet must maintain a 3.0 average in all courses.

Hamm graduated from Newton-Conover High School, Newton, NC, in 2011 and will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon graduation at West Point. 

The U.S. Military Academy is a four-year co-educational federal undergraduate liberal arts college located 50 miles north of New York City.
