FOREST CITY —Town Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. today with property developer Gene Rees regarding the renovation of the 1941 Florence Mill Warehouse.

The board and interested persons will gather at Cool Springs Administrative Offices for the meeting.

The meeting with Rees begins at 4 p.m. and after the discussion is completed, the town will conduct a few items of business.

Thus far, there are eight prospective buyers of the condos to be constructed in the old warehouse building.

The warehouse is the three story brick building located on Depot Street and will be the first phase of the development for the Florence Mill property.

Also this afternoon, Council is expected to receive a report from Commissioners Steve Holland and Dee Bright regarding the appointment of a new town attorney to replace David Lloyd, who has resigned his position at the past meeting. It is effective the end of the year.

The board will also discuss a language access plan, distributed at the last meeting; and will also conduct a closed session to discuss economic development and possible litigation.
