McCraw murder case on document Monday
The first degree murder case of Michael Huette McCraw, 61, is scheduled to begin Monday morning in Superior Court in Rutherford County.
McCraw is charged with killing his estranged wife, Theresa McCraw, 58, owner of Mountain View Kennels in Bostic on Dec. 17, 2011. Her body was discovered at the kennels.
Theresa McCraw died of a gunshot wound.
Rutherford County Sheriff Chris Francis named Michael McCraw as a person of interest in the investigation almost immediately.
A domestic violence protective order had been in effect against Mr. McCraw at Theresa McCraw's request since Nov. 2, 2011.
The SBI and Rutherford County Sheriff's Department arrested McCraw at his Charlotte apartment the day after her body was discovered in Bostic.
Michael McCraw has been incarcerated since his arrest on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011.
Superior Court Judge Bradley Letts of Waynesville will preside over term of Superior court.
District Attorney Brad Greenway said the trial is scheduled to begin Monday.
