Westafer to speak at Women’s Conference

Worship leader, recording artist and speaker, Lyn Westafer will be guest speaker Saturday, Feb. 16, at a Women’s Conference at Bethany Baptist Church, Forest City. The event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes with lunch at 12 p.m. Tickets are $5. Call the church office at 245-5309 by Monday, Feb. 11,for lunch reservations.

Westafer grew up in Asheville, attended Southern Wesleyan University and now lives in Forest City.

She traveled with Derric Johnson’s Re-Generation for three years and has recorded an album under the Brentwood Music Label, as well as many commercial jingles, including one for McDonald’s. She has led worship and spoken for many womens’ conferences and retreats, including Women’s Weekend Getaway.
