Duncan held under $152,000 bond

A 45-year-old Ellenboro man has been charged with two counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Kelly Drew Duncan of L.B. Harris Lane in Ellenboro was arrested Sunday at 1 a.m. by Rutherford County Sheriff's Detectives after they investigated a shooting into an occupied dwelling.

The house located off Tisdale Street belonged to Duncan's ex-girlfriend.

Sheriff's officers and the N.C. Highway Patrol subsequently located the suspected vehicle after it wrecked on Hamrick Drive in Ellenboro. 

Duncan was the driver of the car and was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by the NCHP. 

Detectives charged Duncan with one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property, one count injury to real property and two counts off assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

He is in the Rutherford County Detention Facility under a $152,000 bond.
