On Saturday, deputies with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office served Angela Nicole Lowrance, 33, of Maryland Drive in Forest City, with warrants of misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present.

On Feb. 22, deputies responded to a trespassing call involving Lowrance and recognized her from a previous incident that included active warrants for her arrest.

According to a sheriff's report, on Sunday, Feb. 16 deputies were dispatched to a residence on Maryland Drive concerning a domestic dispute between Lowrance and another unidentified female.

During the dispute, Lowrance jumped on the victim, pinned her on the floor, punched her in the head and threw a liquid chemical in her face, the report said.

The report further advised both women may have been living at the residence at the time of the incident, and the dispute occurred in a minor's presence.

In addition to her assault charges, Lowrance was charged with misdemeanor resisting a public officer for her defiance when officers tried to secure her with handcuffs during the arrest. She received a $1,500 secured bond for her charges.

The victim was treated at Rutherford Regional Medical Center and subsequently released. The emergency room doctor advised the victim would not have any long-term injuries, the report stated.
