Chimney Rock Village Council will discuss building eyesores
When Village Council meets at 7:30 p.m. today, it will conduct a public hearing on a town's new ordinance regarding dilapidated, deteriorated or distressed structures.
The public hearing is a continuation from the Sept. 18 meeting, says Town Clerk Bill Whitman.
The ordinance will address what action will be taken regarding the dilapidated structures in the village that have become eyesores for townspeople and tourists.
Also Tuesday night, reports will be received from Whitman regarding the Pathway Chimney Rock to Lake Lure.
The board will also discuss rescheduling the November meeting from Nov. 20 to Nov. 13.
The meeting will be held in Chimney Rock Village Community Meeting Room at the fire station on Terrace Drive.
