Jeffrey Ruediger, aka "Professor Pop," performed a mad science show at Mooneyham Public Library in Forest City on Thursday.

The show entitled "Spin, Pop, Boom," was part of the library's summer reading program.

Children who attended the science show were delighted when Professor Pop demonstrated inertia with water. The professor swung the water over his head and it did not spill.

Professor Pop had several volunteers help him during the science show. Here a volunteer carefully lifts the lid off a bowl where the professor placed a burning playing card.

Professor Pop set the card on fire and told the children this was the only magic trick he would perform. When the volunteer lifted the lid, the card was magically intact.
