National Day of Prayer event tonight at McNair Stadium

A National Day of Prayer event will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at McNair Field in Forest Cty.  The publici s encouraged to attend there is no cost. 

“We had over 800 at last year’s National Day of Prayer service at McNair Field. Most imprtantly, we are seeing God affect people’s lioves as Rutherford Countians arecoming together to pray,” said the Rev. Anton Roos, chairman of the event. 

 The event tonight will include brief talks as people are called to pray on specific subjects, including  personal holiness, family, the church, the community and the nation.

In addition to a local praise team singing and leading music, participating in the service will be Boy Scouts, pastors and others, including Kevin Rohm, Owen Duncan, Terry Howell, Bruce Jones, George Allen, Leon Godlock and Marvin Green.

Roos said, “We are thrilled that so many people recognize the need to pray for our community and our nation but, mostly, we are pleased that God has made His presence so apparent in these meetings.”
