Youth musical ‘Campaign 4 Change’ set May 4

Apr. 27, 2013 @ 06:18 AM

The youth of First Baptist Church, Rutherfordton, will present a musical titled “Change the World,” Sunday, May 5, at 6 p.m.

The story takes place during a high school debate for student body president. The election theme is “Campaign 4 Change.” Students campaigning for president respond humorously and seriously to questions posed to them such as, “What can you not change?” “What do you have the power to change?” and, “What will never change?” The students find that before they can change the world around them, they have to let God change them on the inside.

The musical represents music by favorite contemporary Christian artists - Casting Crowns, Tim Hughes, Kari Jobe, Mercy Me, Micah Watson Band, Shelly E. Johnson, Matt Redman, Tenth Avenue North, Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, and Josh Wilson.

The public is invited.
