Among the special events for “My Hope” will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Forest City on Nov. 6 and Nov. 7 and Nov. 8.
“One of the greatest highlights of our ministry at Mt. Pleasant Baptist has been our partnership and participation in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Campaign entitled My Hope,” said church pastor Rev. Bob Philbeck.
“Our church is extremely excited about the thrust and zeal of this campaign led by the greatest evangelist I have ever known, Dr. Billy Graham,” Philbeck said.
During Mt. Pleasant’s annual free country fair on Nov. 8-9, there will be a special tent erected for people to stop and view Billy’s message to America, “The Message of the Cross.”
“Our church has been working on this project for this past year with great excitement and commitment to do what we can as Christ’s church to bring God’s hope to America,” he said.
“These are indeed exciting and busy times for all of us at Mt. Pleasant Baptist,” said Lisa Bradley, coordinator of My Hope at Mt. Pleasant.
“At Mt. Pleasant we have come to realize that God has been at work for years now within our life and lives of those all before us and around us,” Bradley said.
“More recently we have seen God’s goodness at work through the free fair and other outreach programs. At our fair this year, we are excited about a marvelous open door before us to share Jesus with our loved ones who do not yet know Him as their personal Savior. My hope is all about building relationships with others so that they will also see the relationship you have with Christ in your life,” Bradley added.
Before the message is shown to small groups at the country fair, Mt. Pleasant will open its doors to everyone for a special braodcast of the message at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
