Cook under $115,000 bond
FOREST CITY — George Wade Cook, 51, of Cougar Road in Casar was charged with possession drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver controlled substance; trafficking in methamphetamine; $115,000 bond.

Teen injured in crash
FOREST CITY — Adam Ray Dobbins, 17,of Rutherfordton was taken to Rutherford Regional Medical Center Sunday afternoon after he sustained injuries in a one-vehicle wreck on Adylotte Road. Acccording to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, he was driving a 1999 Ford, traveling east when he ran off the left side of the road and hit a ditch and fence. He was taken to the hospital by Rutherford County EMS.

Passenger hurt in two car wreck
FOREST CITY — A two vehicle collision Saturday on US 221A resulted in the injury of Linda Kay Huckabee, 38. She was a passenger in a 1990 Toyota driven by Edgar Huckabee, 61. According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Tammy Lynn Dowdy, 44, of Forest City was driving a 1999 Plymouth and both vehicles were traveling north on US 221A. Huckabee stopped in the roadway and Dowdy failed to reduce speed and hit the Toyota in the rear. She was charged with failure to reduce speed. Linda Huckaberry was taken to the hospital by Rutherford County EMS.

Cars collide; one woman hurt
FOREST CITY — Tempest Marquella Logan, 26, of Hedgeland Drive in Forest City went to Rutherford Regional Medical's Center Friday afternoon as a result of a two vehicle collision on Oak Street Ext. and Allendale Drive. According to Forest City police, Teresa Morris, 58, was driving a 2010 Toyota on Allendale Drive and approached Oak Street and hit Logan's 1998 Honda. Morris was charged with a safe movement violation.

Vehicle overturns; driver hurt
FOREST CITY — Cassondria Makita Forney, 20, of Union Mills was injured in a one vehicle collision at 7 a.m.Thursday. She was transported to the hospital by Rutherford County EMS.
 She was driving a  2000 Chevy on Ferguson Ridge Road in Union Mills. She ran off the road to the right, overcorrected and lost control. She crossed the shoulder and overturned in some trees. She was charged with lane control violation.

911 Calls
Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. was dispatched to 294 calls during the weekend; Forest City police had  127 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 54 calls; Spindale had 40 calls; Lake Lure had 14 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 77 calls and Rescue had 60 calls.

Fire Calls
Forest City Fire Dept. was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident and a fire alarm; Hudlow, Sandy Mush and Union Mills were also dispatched to motor vehicle accidents. Union Mills responded to a structure fire Sunday evening with Shingle Hollow, Hudlow, Rutherfordton, Green Hill and Bill's Creek assisting; SDO and Rutherfordton firefighters responded to fire alarm calls during the weekend.

Amber Rose Burckhalter,24, Horsecreek Drive in Mill Spring was charged with resisting public officer, driving while impaired and failure to stop for steady red light; $2,000 bond.
Roxanne Nichollette Cooke, 23, Robert Ridings Road in Shelby was charged with possession stolen goods; $1,000 bond.
John Michael Davis, 29, Camp Creek Road in Union Mills was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor; $2,000 secured bond.
Philip Ray Greene, 35, Branch Street in Mooresboro was charged with possession stolen goods; $10,000 unsecured.
Phillip Grady Jackson, 52, Coopers Gap Road in Mill Spring was charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession drug paraphernalia; $11,000 bond.
Jason Eugene Laughter, 30, High Shoals Church Road in Mooresboro was charged with failure to appear on possession methamphetamine, failure to appear on open container after consuming alcohol and failure to appear on possession drug paraphernalia; $40,000 bond.
Crystal Lee Piere, 39, Cooper's Gap Road in Mill Spring was charged with possession drug paraphernalia and possession marijuana; $1,000 unsecured bond.
Cesar Humberto Romero, 18, Branch Street in Mooresboro was charged breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, $15,000 bond.
Robert Lee Teal,47, Sapphire Drive in Rutherfordton was charged with failure to appear on breaking and entering, felony larceny; $20,000 bond.
