Child treated at hospital
SPINDALE — A child was treated Rutherford Regional Medical Center after a two car bump-up on US74A Tuesday near the entrance to Isothermal Community College.
Denzel Lowrance, 12, of Forest City was a passenger in a 1999 Chevrolet driven by Angela Nicole Lowrance of Forest City. According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Lowrance was slowing to stop for a truck whose driver was traveling reckless in front of her. As Lowrance was slowing down, her car was hit in the rear by a 2002 Dodge driven by April Renee Dunn of Rutherfordton. Dunn told Spindale police she was unable to stop.

Two injured in one car crash
RUTHERFORDTON — Two people were injured in a one vehicle crash at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday on Bill's Creek Road in Lake Lure. Denise Carla Eckert, 52,of Lake Lure was driving a 2006 Dodge truck south on Bill's Creek Road when she ran off the road to the right and struck a guard rail at the end of the shoulder. She and her passenger, Phillip Ecker, 53, of Lake Lure were injured, reported the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

One transported to hospital
RUTHERFORDTON — One woman was transported to Rutherford Regional Medical Center after a two car collision at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday.
Kathy Kaade Craft, 60, of Rutherfordton was driving a 2008 Honda south on US 221 and Max Roy Emory,73,of Rutherfordton was driving a 2013 north on US 221. He crossed the center line and at that time, Craft ran off the road to the right and hit a fence and a large boulder.
Emory continued north and was stopped by Rutherfordton police officers. He was charged with driving left of center, reported the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. was dispatched to 151 calls Tuesday; Forest City police had 73 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 29 calls; Spindale had 22 calls; Lake Lure had five calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 46 calls and Rescue had 48 calls.

Fire Calls
Bill's Creek,Cliffside, SDO and Spindale firefighters responded to motor vehicle accidents on Tuesday; Bostic and Hudlow firefighters responded to grass and brush fires with the Forest Service assisting; Lake Lure responded to an alarm.

Macy Kinsey, 25, Mt. Pleasant Church in Forest City, was charged with misdemeanor probation violation; $1,000 bond.
Charles Barry Coleman, 37, Johnson Street in Spindale, was charged with failure to comply child support; $500 cash bond.
Pattie Elkins Dobbins, 48, Atlas Drive in Bostic, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver controlled substance; trafficking in amphetamine; $25,000 unsecured bond.
Travis Scott Dugger, 34, Drake Circle in Mooresboro, was charged with hit/run, leaving scene of property damage, driving while impaired and reckless driving to endanger; $2,500 bond.
Robin Brian Frady, 38, Ferry Road in Mooresboro was charged with possession drug paraphernalia; $500 bond.
Michael Irvin Hughes, 44, Winnins Road in Bostic was charged with failure to comply child support; $400 cash bond.
Christopher Warre-Antonio Ledbetter, 26, Drake Circle in Ellenboro was charged wit habitual felon; written promise to appear.

Archie Carlton Miller, 53, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, attempting obtaining property by false pretense, forgery of instrument, breaking and entering felony; larceny after breaking and entering; $34,000 bond.
Austin Tyler Moore, 17, Shiloh Road in Forest City was charged with injury to personal property; $500 unsecured bond.
Bryan Lee Ogden,20,Beason Road in Mooresboro was charged with driving while impaired and driving while license revoked; custody release.
Kristen Deaton Pearsobn, 32, McCraw Road in Henrietta was charged with possession drug paraphernalia and simple possession controlled substance; $500 bond.
Thomas Henry Ramsey, 47, Guffey Road in Forest City, was charged with extradition/fugitive from other state; $15,000 bond.
Elizabeth Horne Taylor, 40, Bostic Sunshine Highway in Bostic, was charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny, $1,000 bond.
Amanda Lee Anne Thrift, 35, (no address) was charged with two counts of failure to appear on operate vehicle no insurance possession drug paraphernalia; possession drug paraphernalia and simple possession controlled substance; $1,000 bond.
Nila Lynn Trautman, 61, Hooker Road in Columbus was charged with assault and battery; $5,000 unsecured bond.
James David Trautman, 31, of Hooker Road in Columbus was charged with assault and battery, 48 hour hold; second degree trespass; secured bonds.
