Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 191 calls on Tuesday; Forest City police had 80 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 24 calls; Spindale had 29 calls; Lake Lure had 8 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 39 calls and Rescue had 10 calls.

Fire Calls

Bills Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a carbon monoxide alarm; Cherry Mountain firefighters responded to a structure fire; Lake Lure Fire Department was called to a fire alarm; Spindale firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire.

Arrests

Scotty Everett Fowler, 54, Hudlow Road in Union Mills, was charged with simple assault and communicating threats; written promise to appear.
Linwood Hayes Howell, 27, Trojan Lane in Forest City, was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor driving while license revoked; $500 bond.
Robert Scott Lawson, 51, Dark Corner Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor child support; $1,500 bond.
Jeffery Scott Padgett, 49, Keeter Road in Mooresboro, was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor simple worthless check and two counts simple worthless check; $2,500 bond.
Elizabeth Horne Taylor, 41, Bostic Sunshine Highway in Bostic, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver and two counts possession of a controlled substance; $10,000 bond.
Amanda Leeanne Thrift, 26, Gilboa Church Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with two counts misdemeanor probation violation; $7,000 bond.
