Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 149 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police had 89 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 17 calls; Spindale had 19 calls; Lake Lure had 17 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 64 calls and Rescue had 22 calls.
Chimney Rock Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident; Forest City firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident and a residential fire alarm; Lake Lure Fire Department was called to a residential fire alarm; Rutherfordton firefighters were dispatched to a power line fire; Sandy Mush Fire Department responded to a residential fire alarm; SDO firefighters were called to a vehicle fire and an industrial fire alarm.
Donna Renee Conner, 43, Thompson Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with failure to appear on fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag; $500 bond.
Jose Alberto Espinoza, 22, Vanity Lane in Ellenboro, was charged with driving while impaired and driving left of center; $1,500 unsecured bond.
Brandon Scott Hutchins, 31, Lovers Lane in Rutherfordton, was charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; $85,000 bond.
Benjamin Dewey Schmoll, 17, Countryside Drive in Hendersonville, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving after consuming alcohol underage and driving while impaired; $2,000 unsecured bond.
Peggy Jean Smith, 56, U.S. Highway 64 in Rutherfordton, was charged with simple assault and communicating threats; written promise to appear.
