Women still in trauma care
FOREST CITY — Kathy Loretti, 59, of Union Mills remains in the trauma care unit and  Sherry Owens, 57, of Columbus, remains in the neuro-trauma intensive care unit at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, recovering from injuries they sustained in a head-on vehicle collision last Wednesday.
They were flown to Asheville Wednesday morning after their vehicles hit head-on at 10:30 a.m. on US 64 near the Westminster community.  Owens was traveling on the job with Folstaf Lab Partners and Loretti was traveling toward Rutherfordton.
 
911 Calls
Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. responded to 196 calls during the weekend; Forest City police had 155 calls; Rutherfordton police had 62 calls; Spindale was dispatched to 36 police calls and Lake Lure had 34 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 66 calls and Rescue had 48 calls.
 
Fire Calls
Bostic, Lake Lure fire departments responded to brush fires during the weekend; Green Hill responded to a smoke report; Rutherfordton and SDO responnded to fire alarms.

Donald Ray Alexander, 44, Arlee Drive in Ellenboro, misdemeanor probation violation out of county; $2,500 bond.
Christopher Shawn Beam, 21, Brooklyn Road in Forest City, driving while impaired; $2,000 unsecured bond.
Derek Ray Bishop 23, Tobacco Lane in Mill Spring, failure to appear on obtaining property by false pretense; $25,000 bond.
Wendy Ann Blanks, 30, Echo Lane in Gastonia, assault and battery and resisting public officer; bond not listed.
Melvin Louis Godlock,43,Seitz Drive in Forest City, driving while impaired; $2,000 bond.
James Wade Harris, 56, Greenfield Drive in Forest City, assault, serious injury; $5,000 bond.
Matthew J. Jaramillo, 30, Garden Street in Lake Lure, assault on a female; 48-hour hold.
Keith Michael Lusk, 20, King Step Road in Mill Spring, obtaining property by false pretense; $10,000 bond.
Tadjre Kewan Wilkerson, 21, McCaulken Street in Forest City, was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor larceny; $3,000 bond.
Russell Lee Bridges, 48, McCraw Road in Mooresboro, no operator's license and trafficking, opium or heroin; $500 secured; $15,000 unsecured.
Tammy Rhinehart Lassiter, 51, Justice Road in Marion, aid and abet impaired driving, aid and abet driving while license revoked; $5,000 bond.
Wayne Gilbert Lassiter, 45, Justice Road in Marion, charged with driving while impaired,driving while license revoked and failure to appear on driving while license revoked; $15,000 bond.
Teresa Michelle Tucker, 34, Old Henrietta Road in Forest City, charged with driving while impaired; $1,000 unsecured bond.

Charles Franklin Davis reported an incident of larceny.
Kimberley Miller reported an incident of first degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering and injury to real property.
An officer of the Forest City Police Department reported an incident of an alcohol violation and a narcotics violation that occurred on Frontage Road.
An employee of Smith’s Drugs reported an incident of a bomb threat.
James Randall Fields reported an incident of fraud.
Michael Maxwell of Lexington, S.C., reported a breaking, entering and larceny.
Gregory Casler of Shelby reported a breaking, entering, larceny and damage to personal property.
Rashid Buttar of Huntersville reported a breaking, entering and larceny.
Robert Young of Bostic reported a larceny.
Lynn Pitts of Lake Lure reported a breaking and entering.
