911 Calls

Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 148 calls on Thursday; Forest City police had 73 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 38 calls; Spindale had 16 calls; Lake Lure had 5 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 54 calls and Rescue had 35 calls.

Fire Calls

Forest City Fire Department was dispatched to an industrial fire alarm and a motor vehicle accident; Hudlow firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident; Sandy Mush Fire Department was called to two motor vehicle accidents.


Bobby Joe Brackett, 36, Kelly Road in Forest City, was charged with resisting a public officer; $1,000 bond.

Lloyd Kimies Derreberry, 36, Main Street in Henrietta, was charged with second-degree trespassing and assault on a female; $5,000 bond.

Justin Lee Dover, 22, Hollis Road in Ellenboro, was charged with failure to appear on driving left of center, failure to appear on possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear on misdemeanor charges; $500 bond.

Chelsea Tynille Flack, 20, Sycamore Drive in Lake Lure, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and larceny of a firearm; $6,000 bond.

Michael Lawerance Long, 45, Dresden Drive in Gastonia, was charged with contempt of court; bond amount unlisted.

Kristin Shawn Pearson, 32, Hines Road in Mooresboro, was charged with failure to appear on driving while license revoked, failure to appear on giving/lending/borrowing a license plate and failure to appear on no liability insurance; $1,000 bond.

Wesley Adam Rogers, 35, Jonestown Road in Bostic, was charged with felony larceny; $2,500 bond.

Candace Megan Toney, 28, Dogwood Lane in Henrietta, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, receiving stolen goods/property and accessory after the fact; $30,000 bond.


Savannah Renee Bailey reported an incident of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.

Kevin Pruitt reported an incident of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun.

Thomas Mills reported an incident of larceny.

An employee from Gator's Automotive reported an incident of larceny by an employee.
