Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 149 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police had 100 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 51 calls; Spindale had 22 calls; Lake Lure had 6 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 58 calls and Rescue had 26 calls.
Bills Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire alarm; Cherry Mountain firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident.
Jacob Tyler Buchanan, 22, Morningstar Lake Road in Forest City, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession/selling/buying an altered motor vehicle serial number; $7,000 bond.
Moesha Desha Carson, 17, Sherrill Mountain Street in Forest City, was charged with misdemeanor larceny; custody release.
Jimmy Walter Gettys, 62, Jack Moore Mountain Road in Shelby, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver, possession of a firearm by a felon, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, simple possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony probation violation; $85,000 bond.
Eric Dwayne Hendrix, 41, Mac Road in Mooresboro, was charged with assault and battery; written promise to appear.
Amy Lee Willis James, 31, Jonas Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with no operator's license, operating a vehicle with no insurance/not displaying registration plate, resisting a public officer and simple possession of a controlled substance; $2,500 bond.
