Jefferson under $101,000 bond; arrested Friday evening

Spindale police officers arrested Desmond Hykeem Jefferson, 20, of West Street in Spindale on Friday night. He is charged him with first degree burglary, breaking and entering; two counts larceny after breaking and entering; and simple possession controlled substance; he is being held in the Rutherford County Detention Facility.

Spindale police issued a report on Jefferson Friday afternoon asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to notify police. 

911 Calls

Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. responded to 126 calls on Friday; Forest City police had 77 calls; Rutherfordton police had 36 calls; Spindale was dispatched to 41 police calls and Lake Lure had 20 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 44 calls and Rescue had 46 calls.

Fire Calls

Cherry Mountain firefighters were dispatched to a chimney fire; Bostic responded to a vehicle accident and a residential fire alarm. 

Arrests

Joshua Gray Easton, 24, Bat Cave was charged with defrauding innkeeper; $500 bond.

Todd Mitchell Frady, 26, Strickland Road in Campobello, S.C., was charged with second degree kidnapping; $75,000 bond.

Mark William Heller, Jr., 16, Franklin Drive in Forest City; assault and battery; $3,000 bond.

Bobby Lee Lail, 51, North Main Street in Waco was charged with failure to appear on no operator's license and failure to wear seat belt; $2500 bond.

Kimberly Michelle Prince, 27, Long Street in Rutherfordton, resisting public officer and possession controlled substance; $1,000 bond.

Frederick Maurice Steele, 39, Doggett Road in Forest City, driving while impaired; $4,000 bond.

Nigel Clarke White, 20, Race Path Church Road in Ellenboro, charged possession drug paraphernalia and possession controlled substance, $10,000 bond.
