Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 411 calls over the weekend; Forest City police had 194 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 108 calls; Spindale had 78 calls; Lake Lure had 20 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 119 calls and Rescue had 47 calls.

Fire Calls

Chimney Rock Fire Department was dispatched to downed power lines; Cliffside firefighters responded to a structure fire; Ellenboro Fire Department was called to downed power lines and a vehicle fire; Forest City firefighters were dispatched to two motor vehicle accidents and a smoke report; Green Hill Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident; Hudlow firefighters were called to downed power lines; Lake Lure Fire Department was dispatched to an industrial fire alarm, a power line fire and a brush fire; Rutherfordton firefighters responded to a gas leak; Sandy Mush Fire Department was called to a downed power line and a carbon monoxide leak; SDO firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire; Spindale Fire Department responded to a structure fire.

Robert Michael Blanton, 49, Holly Hill Road in Shelby, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver; $10,000 bond.
Justin Matthew Chapman, 25, Camp Creek Road in Union Mills, was charged with assault on a female and injury to personal property; $1,000 unsecured bond.
Eric Heath Fowler, 29, Dark Corner Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with driving while impaired and hit/run failure to stop for property damage; written promise to appear.
