RUTHERFORD COUNTY —
Candler woman hurt in wreck
FOREST CITY — A 25-year-old woman, Farrah Grace Banks of Candler, was taken to Rutherford Regional Medical Center on Tuesday following a single vehicle accident on Poors Ford Road.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said she was driving a 2002 Honda west when she ran off the road to the right, hit a speed limit sign and a culvert.
She was transported to the hospital by Rutherford County EMS.
McCall under $17,500 bond
FOREST CITY — Mark Anthony McCall, 43, Dobbins Road in Ellenboro was arrested on a warrant for assault inflicting serious bodily injury, assault attempting serious bodily injury, assault inflict serious injury with minor present and injury to personal property; $17,500 bond.
Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. was dispatched to 153 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police had 54 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 31 calls; Spindale had 42 calls; Lake Lure had two calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 37 calls and Rescue had 35 calls.
Bostic firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm; Cherry Mountain and Forest City fire departments were dispatched to motor vehicle accidents; Spindale responded to power line down and Shingle Hollow responded to a brush fire with the Forest Service assisting.
Beverly Ann Brookshire, 39, Ramona Street in Forest City, charged with failure to appear on cancel/revoke/suspect certificate/tag, expired, no inspection and operate vehicle no insurance; $1,000 bond.
George Keith Randall Camp, 22, Hillside Drive in Spindale was charged with larceny of firearm and possession of firearm by felon; $15,000 bond.
Martin Arsenio Reyes Moreno, 21,of Piney Mountain Church in Ellenboro was charged on three warrants for faiure to appear and a notice of hearing; $1,500 bond.
Jimmy Ray Carpenter, 59, Peters Creek, Budget Inn Parkway in Winston-Salem was charged with breaking and entering, first degree trespass enter/remain and injury to personal property; $5,000 bond.
Jennifer Marie Craig, 29, Stage Coach Motel in Spindale was charged with failure to appear on obtaining property by false pretense; $10,000 bond.
Laura Lee Dunaway, 34, Highland Drive in Rutherfordton was charged with failure to appear on attempted larceny of motor fuel, misdemeanor larceny, possession stolen goods, possession open container/consuming alcohol in passenger area; community service; $2,000 bond.
Ryan Clifford, 35, Mountain View Drive in Columbus was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor larceny; $5,000 bond.
Michael James Hawkins, 40, Mountain Creek Road in Rutherfordton was charged with driving while license revoked; $1,000 bond.
Amy Lee Willis James, 31, West Main Street in Forest City was charged with shoplifting concealment goods and resisting public officer; $3,000 bond.

Rebekah Miller Simmons, 27, Hudlow Road in Rutherfordton was charged with domestic violence protective order violation; 48-hour hold.
Paula Joe Stafford, 25, US 221 in Rutherforton was charged with diving while license revoked,cancer/revoke/suspecnd certificate/tag; misdemeanor probation violation; four counts obtaining proeprty by false pretense; $29,000 bond.

Neil Murray of Bostic reported disorderly conduct and communicating threats.
