Police looking for Jefferson
SPINDALE — Spindale police officers have secured indictments on Desmond Hykeem Jefferson for first degree burglary and breaking and entering.
The Spindale Police Department is seeking information to his whereabouts and ask that if any other law enforcement agency has contact with Desmond Hykeem Jefferson, notify officers immediately, 286-3464.
Law enforcement agencies are asked to use caution when dealing with Jefferson due to the large amount of firearms that have been taken from several residences.
Mosley wanted on violation of protection order
SPINDALE — Randy Savonnah Mosley is wanted for several violations of a protection order. These warrants are in NCAWARE.
According to the Spindale police, Mosely lives off of Doggett Grove Road in Forest City and frequently travels up to Piney Ridge Road on a bicycle.
Any information to his whereabouts call the Spindale Police Department, 286-3464.
Bowers under $1 million bond
FOREST CITY — The bond for a Forest City man charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury has been set at $1 million.
Scout Paul Bowers, 25, of Gardo's Motel in Forest City was transported to the Rutherford County Detention Facility
after he was arrested Thursday near Gaffney in Cherokee County,S.C.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department, Bowers is charged with shooting Joshua Tyler Burgess, 24, of Ashley Road.
Burgess told officers he saw headlights near his house and walked out into his yard on Thursday morning. At that time, Bowers allegedly shot Burgess in the lower leg.
Burgess was transported to Rutherford Regional Medical Center and later released.
Bowers was picked up in Cherokee County on Thursday and returned to Rutherford County.
Cochran taken to hospital
FOREST CITY — William Raymond Cochran was taken to Rutherford Regional Medical Center Thursday after the result of a vehicle accident in the parking lot of WalMart.
Cochran, 67, driving a 1994 Nissan, told police he was trying to swerve to miss a shopping cart and hit a stop sign at the four way intersection.
Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. responded to 131 calls on Thursday; Forest City police had 70 calls; Rutherfordton police had 17 calls; Spindale was dispatched to 20 police calls and Lake Lure had one call; Rutherford County EMS responded to 39 calls and Rescue had 38 calls.
Cherry Mountain, Forest City and SDO fire departments responded to motor vehicle accidents; Green Hill firefighters responded to a fire alarm call; SDO responded to an electrical fire; Shingle Hollow, Sandy Mush and several other departments responded to trees across roads and power line fires.
Joseph Trent Bullman, 48, US74B Ellenboro was charged with two counts communicating threats; $1,000 bond.
Andrew Garrett Coleman, 26, Parris Road in Ruth, charged with failure to appear on speeding, failure to appear no operator's license; $500 bond.
Douglas Charles Fields, 36, Wilgrove Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill was charged with failure to appear on possession beer/wine unauthorized premises; $200 bond.
Larry Richard Fowler, 36, Downing Circle in Forest City, was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor probation violation and failure to appear on misdemeanor; $30,000 bond.
Bruce Wayne Givens, 31, Old Caroleen Road in Forest City was charged failure to appear injury to personal property; $3,000 bond.
Kayla Jean Hawkins, 30, Hollis Road in Ellenboro, two counts financial card theft; $25,000 bond.
Andrew Neal Mathis, 20, Maryhill Drive in Ellenboro was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor probation violation; $5,000 bond.
Desmond Lamond Miller, 35, Lookout Drive in Forest City, was charged with failure to comply civil contempt order; $400 cash.
Tonya Renee Roach, 41, Oakland Road in Forest City, charged with assault and battery; no bond listed.
Nigel Clarke White, 20, Race Path Church Road in Ellenboro was charged with possession drug paraphernalia; and possession controlled substance; $10,000 bond.
Cathy Alexander of Rutherfordton reported a larceny.
William Strickland of Ellenboro reported a larceny.
