Man arrested after breaking into Harris Elementary School

On Monday at approximately 1:44 p.m., Rutherford County Sheriff Deputies responded to Harris Elementary School in reference to a security alarm.

As deputies were checking the building a subject was seen running from the school. Deputies gave chase but lost the subject in the woods.

Rutherford County Sheriff Detectives were able to gather information from the crime scene and interviews to develop a suspect of Matthew Dillon Graybill, 21 years old.

Graybill was later arrested at his home after confessing to breaking into the school.

Graybill was charged with one count possession of burglary tools, one count breaking and entering, one count larceny after break/enter, two counts damage coin/currency machine and two counts breaking coin/currency machine.

Bond was set at $17,000.00 secured.
